World Child is headquartered in Silver Springs, Maryland and is a non-profit child-placing agency that specializes in international adoption. We've been around a long time - since 1981. That means we've developed the kind of experience and problem- solving skills that are essential in navigating the world of international adoption today. We are proud to have placed more than 3000 orphaned and abandoned children in good and loving homes throughout the United States and with American families living abroad. Our many worldwide programs offer adoptions in Eastern Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
Families hoping to adopt children from abroad should be flexible and open to learning about a new world and a different way of life. It is an exciting time to be contemplating international adoption and we think that you will be very pleased with the programs World Child has to offer!
