Guatemala At this time we are not accepting applications for our Guatemala program. World Child has been placing children from Guatemala since 1981. Poverty conditions in this third world Central American country have led to few social or educational opportunities for the large population of native Guatemalans residing there. Most children in this program are placed for adoption by single parents overwhelmed by their social circumstance. World Child works with experienced attorneys to help find loving homes for these children. DETAILS: Guatemala Program Colombia Older child adoptions through KidSave Summer Miracles Program. Children are typically 8-15 years of age. Applicants participate in a summer hosting program of 4-6 weeks where the child lives with the family during that time. The child then returns to Colombia.
